WXC (WorldxChange)

Today, WorldxChange is a market-leading 100% Kiwi-owned and operated telecommunications company providing high reliability IP-based voice services to Government and large commercial businesses across the country as well as servicing the mass consumer market with innovative converged voice & internet products.

Their customer portfolio includes such entities as IAG Insurance, Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust, Transpower, Reserve Bank, EQC, Navman and the Greater Wellington Regional Council.

In 2013, WorldxChange consolidated  the "WorldxChange" and "Xnet" brands under a single "WXC" brand in recognition of our growing Residential and Corporate/Government portfolio.

In June 2015 WorldxChange became a wholly-owned Vodafone subsidiary. Vodafone’s Chief Executive Officer, Russell Stanners, said, “This is a really exciting move for us.  WorldxChange is a world-class kiwi company specialising in converged unified communications services and its deep experience and 15-year proven history of delivering high-quality innovative solutions is a great complement to our existing business."

WXC believe that technology advances made within their industry should translate into telecommunications services being more flexible, easier to manage and a lot less expensive for customers - regardless of their size.

Have been forever with this company, service fantastic, and every thing else also.
pricing not the cheapest. It is my loss that the company was sold to Vodafone. I am changing provider and have chosen Slingshot, lets see how they pan out.

WXC was the only ISP available when we first moved into a new subdivision. They provided a good product and good service at the time. Over the years their plans did not change and become relatively expensive compared to newer competition. We are relocating homes and WXC no longer support this so moving to another ISP called NOW which has excellent reviews
Pros
reliable connection and good support when needed
Cons
old, low speed UFB plan 30/10Mbps, unable to upgrade

Was fine until purchased by Vodafone, at which point their plans could not be upgraded. We considered moving to Vodafone, but after 25 mins on the phone to an utterly incompetent sales rep (he didn't even know what an 0800 number was!) gave up and moved to Now.
Pros
Always quickly responsive when I called (unlike Vodafone)
Cons
Plan was limited to download of 30Mbps
