This just in: A new Fibre plan is here! The Fibre 50 plan joins the market to offer consumers another great option for their broadband needs.

The Fibre 50 plan is a new Fibre broadband plan that providers are now starting to offer. The plan is also known as the Fibre 50/10 plan or Fibre Starter plan.
This plan offers speeds of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload, hence 50/10. Currently, most Fibre broadband plans offer speeds of 300/100 or 950/500.
The Fibre 50 Plan varies in price from anywhere between $60 to $83 per month.
The Fibre 50 plan is a great option if you are wanting to save a few dollars on your monthly broadband bill. Most of the providers are offering the plans for slightly cheaper than the 300/100 Fibre plans. So if you’re trying to save every dollar you can then this plan may be perfect for you!
Just note that some providers are offering the Fibre 50 plan at the same price or more than 300/100 plans. So it pays to compare at Broadband Compare!
While the speeds are lower than the 300/100 and 950/500 Fibre plans, you’ll still be able to do heaps with the 50/10 Fibre plan. You can definitely surf the web with good speeds for a casual user. However, it’s not suited to someone who is doing intense activities like gaming.
If the price is the same, it's best to get the faster speed (Fibre 300/100) as you'll be able to do even more if you need to without paying extra. However if you can and want to save a few dollars a month, then grab the Fibre 50/10 plan!
If you’re coming from a Wireless connection then this plan will definitely be a step up. Most Wireless plans offer 36/10 speeds or less. So, you can enjoy better download speeds with the Fibre 50 plans!
Also, there are currently joining deals available across different providers when you sign up to a Fibre 50 plan. Some providers are offering discounts of $10-$30 off a month. So you could save even further if you jump on one of these plans now!
